Check Out Our Latest Card Game iPhone App

Two Out Of Three Blackjack” is a new iPhone App created by Indy’s Largest App Developer Boost Media for Walter Mims. It combines the option of a 3-card side wager with a variation of the popular game of Blackjack. The game is played with 6 standard decks of Blackjack cards. Walter is the inventor of “2 Out Of 3″ and several other more challenging games for casino enthusiasts.Mathematical statistical analysis was completed by Stanley Ko. “2 Out Of 3″ is presently approved in Mississippi and Washington State.

  • Simple To Play!
  • Attractive To Skilled & Casual Players!
  • Easy To Deal!

The game begins with all players placing a bet in their own betting box. The dealer then deals all players and himself three cards. One of the dealer’s cards is dealt face-up as in Blackjack. The player then must pick two of his three cards as his initial 2-card Blackjack hand and discard the card he does not want.

If the player busts, he loses immediately and the dealer will collect his bet and cards.

When all players have played out their hands, the dealer will turn over the two of his cards which are face down. The dealer then must choose the two cards he will play.

Why Blackjack?
Blackjack, also known as Twenty-one, is the most widely played casino banking game in the world. Blackjack is a comparing card game between a player and dealer and played with one or more French decks of 52 cards.

The player is dealt an initial two card hand with the option of drawing cards to bring the total value to 21 or less without exceeding it, so that the dealer will lose by having a lesser hand than the player or by exceeding 21. Many rule variations of blackjack exist.

This is a very special event for Indianapolis Downtown Inc., and it’s also the perfect time for IDI to offer their own gift to the community: The official Indianapolis Downtown Mobile App, now available for both iPhone and Android. The new app, developed by Boost Media, is a guide to all things downtown, all year round. And of course, it’s a great way to connect with all the spectacular sights and sounds happening all over downtown during the Holidays.

App users can discover what’s happening by searching categories, dates or by “geo-locating” activities near them. Twitter is also seamlessly integrated into the app, so can follow or connect with IDI.

“There is such a wealth of information in this app”, said Jason Zickler, CEO of Boost Media “like an endless list of choices for entertainment, shopping, dining, sports. Downtown Indy has it all.”  And now, thanks to a nifty little mobile app … it’s ALL right here in your pocket.

The Circle of Lights® event begins at 6 p.m. Friday with the televised show starting at 7 p.m. Those in attendance will surely be delighted with a special appearance from holiday entertainers and the larger-than-life toy soldiers and sailors and peppermint sticks adorning Monument Circle. Yeee-hahhhh! A New App.

The great state of Texas is known for many things … not the least of which is their world famous BARBECUE.

Download from Android Market

East or West Texas style. Brisket, pulled pork or ribs – whatever taste you like, this app is for you. The Texas Monthly BBQ Finder will help you locate the best barbecue eateries – in Texas and beyond. You’ll be hooked in to the community of BBQ lovers, with reviews, tips and directions. You’ll even be able to add your own flavor preferences and rib-joint reviews. This new mobile app is now available on both Android and iPhone platforms, with the Android version developed by Indy’s Boost Media, for Emmis Communications (parent company of Texas Monthly).

“Boost did a terrific job producing the Android version of our Texas BBQ Finder on a very tight schedule”, said Roy Leamon, VP Production & Technology at Texas Monthly. “We wanted it released in time for our 2011 Texas Monthly BBQ Festival, and Boost delivered. Thank you Boost!”

Meanwhile, closer to home, Boost Media (Indy’s leading mobile app developer) is leading the way in developing other taste-tempting mobile apps.

The NY Slice, one of the busiest food trucks in town, is serving authentic NY style pizza all over Indy, from a different spot each day. And thanks to a new mobile app developed by Boost Media, users can stay up to the minute on the location of their favorite pizza. This app is scheduled for release by end of 2011.

Others have jumped onto the growing list of Boost’s mobile restaurant apps – such Shapiro’s, the iconic Indy delicatessen, and Bru Burger Bar, the latest concept from Cunningham Restaurant Group. But all restaurant apps are not the same – far from it. Boost custom develops every app according to the  restaurant’s strategy. For example, the forthcoming Mobile VIP app that Boost is building for Scotty’s Brewhouse will focus on customer loyalty and rewards. Boost is even developing a full-featured Dining Guide for Atlanta Monthly, another Emmis publication.

Why the growing trend?

“It just make sense”, says Boost CEO Jason Zickler “every restaurant wants to connect with their customers. Mobile apps are a great solution.”

But what does a restaurant app do for customers?

“It’s almost limitless”, says Zickler. “Menus, reservations, photos, video, recipes, VIP and rewards clubs, locations, directions. It’s your restaurant brand in the customer’s pocket.”

SMARTPHONE USERS SET TO PLAY LOCATION-BASED GAME AT THE 2011 INDIANA STATE FAIR

Similar to popular location-based games like SCVNGR and Gowalla, Indy based digital marketing agency Boost Media & Entertainment and Publicis Indianapolis have partnered to create an innovative mobile game that will be played at the Indiana State Fair.

The game is called BeanGo, and coincides with this year’s fair theme, “The Year of Soybeans.”

There are eight bean statues distributed throughout the fairgrounds. Players use smartphones to find the statues, where they’ll discover clues to help them solve puzzles in the game. Once a puzzle is solved, a square on the in-game “Bean Card” is completed. Once three squares in a row are completed, players display their app at the soybean display in the Pioneer Our Land Pavilion to win prizes.

Prizes include a free milkshake, pork burger or all-beef hot dog. If all eight squares are completed, players receive a secret prize.

“With millions of people already playing location-based games on their smartphones, we thought our own game would be great for this year’s fair,” said Hannah Brescher of the Indiana Soybean Alliance, the app’s sponsor. “We’re very pleased with how it’s turned out.”

BeanGo also includes a State Fair map and connection with the Soybean Alliance’s mascot Bennie the Bean’s Facebook and Twitter accounts. In another innovative feature, app users “shake” Bennie (by shaking their phones) to get him to share fun soybean facts.

BeanGo is available now in both the Android App Market and Apple’s App Store.

According to SCVNGR, over 1000 companies, universities and organizations nationwide have commissioned location-based games like BeanGo.

For more information about Boost and its projects and services, please contact Jason Zickler at jzickler@boostmediaentertainment.com or call 317.624.0300.

HINCHCLIFFE GOING MOBILE WITH INNOVATIVE NEW DRIVER APP

Hinchtown Mobile helps fans get even closer to talented IZOD IndyCar Series rookie

INDIANAPOLIS, Tuesday, July 5, 2011 – Rising IZOD IndyCar Series star James Hinchcliffe launched a cutting-edge, unique driver mobile application July 5, allowing fans to interact with the popular “Hinch” even when their busy lives reach top speed.

Hinchtown Mobile is free and available for download at the Apple App Store and Android Market. It’s believed to be the first driver app in major motorsports.

2010 Firestone Indy Lights series runner-up Hinchcliffe drives for Newman/Haas Racing in his rookie season in the IZOD IndyCar Series, North America’s top open-wheel racing series. He is the second-highest rookie in the standings entering the Honda Indy Toronto, Sunday, July 10 on the streets of his hometown.

“I’m really excited about Hinchtown Mobile,” Hinchcliffe said. “I’ve gone all out to use the Web and social media to connect with fans for the last few years, which is really important to me. That’s been a big success, so the launch of my mobile app is taking my relationship with the fans to an all-new level of interaction.”

Hinchcliffe is one of the most innovative, creative drivers in the use of digital and social media. He is the “mayor of this little Internet civilization known as Hinchtown” at his unique website, www.hinchtown.com.

The site features features complete integration with Hinchcliffe’s YouTube channel, Facebook page and Twitter feed, all of which he updates regularly to provide entertaining content to fans and sponsors.

Hinchtown Mobile will include links to all of Hinchcliffe’s existing virtual content and channels. But the interactive app also offers exclusive elements. For example, fans attending the race this weekend in Toronto can download a “Key to the City” and get free admission to the Hinchtown After Party.

Hinchcliffe helped to develop the mobile app with sports marketing and consulting specialists GRand Solutions LLC and digital marketing agency Boost Media Entertainment, both based in Indianapolis. GRand Solutions has managed the marketing and activation efforts for Hinchcliffe since March.

“It’s not surprising that Hinch is the first driver to launch a mobile app,” said Ruthie Forbes, co-founder of GRand Solutions. “He’s always thinking one step ahead when it comes to connecting with fans and sponsors in digital media. I’ve never seen a driver more plugged into the power of virtual solutions.”

While Hinchtown Mobile is their first driver app, GRand and Boost teamed up to create and launch an Android app for Texas Motor Speedway in June 2011. It was one of the first apps for a major racing facility.

GRand formed a partnership with Boost Media Entertainment in February to represent Boost’s innovative mobile products in the motorsports marketplace.

“Hinchtown Mobile is a great example of how GRand’s partnership with Boost Media can help keep our clients on the leading edge by offering unique, nimble and efficient solutions through online and mobile technology,” said Gene Cottingham, co-founder of GRand Solutions. “This technology works for everyone in motorsports – drivers, teams, event and track promoters and sponsors.”

For Mesh and Skyline Club, mobile apps by Boost  will allow patrons to peruse menus, specials and photos, and even book tables directly from their smartphones.

“Out clientele at Mesh is savvy and sophisticated, and our app is a great way to reach out to people like this, engage them and most importantly, keep them coming back in,” said Ben Bullard, director of communication at Mesh.

Why am I doing this?

Okay, right off the bat I will admit that this is a cheap and easy excuse for actual content this week. But think about it – a blog about blogging. It’s rather brilliant.
Do you blog? If yes, do you wonder who (if anyone) actually reads it? What if no one reads it? What if no one is reading this blog?
It’s still worth doing. Very worth doing.
Watch this.
