In many areas of the country, real estate values change neighborhood-to-neighborhood, often drastically even within the same zip code. But zip code is the primary search criteria for the majority of real estate applications and websites. Why waste time pouring through listings in areas you don’t want to live in? Abodie changes this. You know where you want to be. Geotag an area and get listings in order of there distance from that point. Stand in front of a house you like, and Abodie pulls up info on that house right away. Entering long addresses and searching zip codes are obsolete vestiges of inadequate technology. Your phone knows where you are. If you allow it, Abodie does too.
The Abodie Community
There are some revolutionary features in Abodie that we are very excited about. The user will be able to take their own Geotagged photograph of a potential home with the very phone Abodie is running on. The tag will automatically associate the photo with that listing. Notes will also work this way. See a house you like, but find something funky in the basement? Take a picture and make a note. When you return to the listing—either in your favorites list or in a search—you’ll see all the contextual content you’ve added. It’s a handy way to keep all your home search notes in one place.
To expand on this, willing sellers and REALTORS® will allow the comments and additional user-submitted content to be included in their listing, thus creating an unprecedented community where thoughts and opinion can greatly increase our knowledge of properties, benefiting both buyer and seller.
